Spring has sprung, and it's time to shed light on your amazing creation! Enter the 2024 Shed of the Year competition.
Behind the shed #63
With the mad storms this past weekend, you would think Spring has not sprung at all, I hope your sheds have survived and you and your loved ones are fine.
I know it’s a weekly reminder, but May 31st will come soon enough, half the people who are on this mailing list already have sheds, and the other half are just interested in sheds - so please pass it one to anyone you know who has a shed who just likes looking at other peoples (that’s why I started readersheds in 2000)
We have getting more sheddies with Instagram (mine) accounts (5X more than former Twitter)
So let me know, and I will add your Instagram handle to your shed page and maybe generate a directory of sheddies on that platform.

Just a reminder, So we have added a new “category” for Shed of the year 2024 - Young Sheddie of the Year.
Young people (18-25) can enter their sheds in a competition, regardless of how they use them (work, play, relaxation).
So now the competition celebrates sheds built by families across generations.
Plus the winning shed not only gets £1000 from Cuprinol (plus products) this year’s winner will also be awarded an exclusive overnight stay in a relaxing nature resort.

Sheds in the media
Entry for Shed of the year 2024 was mentioned in the Daily Mail, Yorkshire Post and a couple of homes magazines, and our old friend Shedworking, a very varied collection of media, look out for more coverage running up to the finalist’s announcement, or if you local radio station mentions it let me know.
Shed of the Year Needs Your Help!
We're aiming to upgrade to a lightning-fast web server and move over 36,450 amazing shed photos to the cloud. This means a smoother browsing experience for everyone! A huge thank you to the "Sheddies" who've already supported us.

"Really pretty and practical at the same time, and with mains power.
Shed is completely built by me from reject fencing materials (from my work).
Main purpose is just for storing garden stuff. Secondary purpose is some roofed area to hide from rain or sun. Managing to make it look really pretty is bonus."
